About Nimbin's '39 Hours' Short Film Competition 2008

"Nimbin's 39 hours" Short Film Competition and Festival is organised by the Nimbin Film Industry group, a sub-branch of the Nimbin Community Technology Centre (CTC) and the third annual 39 Hours will be held in Nimbin and surrounding area from Friday March 14th till Sunday March 16th 2008.

39 hours invites filmmakers to come to Nimbin and make a short film in 39 hours. Films can be shot and edited by the team and may be submitted for judging on either DV tape or DVD format.

All films must be made during the specified 39 hours from 7pm Friday evening till 9am Sunday morning. Films must be under 8 minutes long and must contain key elements provided by the organisers on sign up.

Entry forms may be submitted from the 1st january 2008 at the Nimbin CTC 81 Cullen St. Nimbin NSW Australia. Closing date for entry is Friday 14th March 5pm. Registration will take place on Friday 16th March from 5:00 till 6:00pm at the Nimbin School of Arts. The '39 hours' will officially start at 7:00pm.

Films must be handed in for judging by 10:00am Sunday morning, screenings and award ceremony will be at 6:00pm Sunday 16th March.

There is a youth (under 18) and Open division.
