Completed entry forms and fees must be lodged by 6pm 14th March 2008. Prior to this date forms can be lodged at the Nimbin CTC 81 cullen St. Nimbin or by posting to Nimbin CTC 81 Cullen St., Nimbin. On the day entry forms can be lodged at the Nimbin School of Arts Hall Main street of Nimbin from 4 till 6pm.
Entry must include the following: $40.00 for the adult division and $10 for youth division, non refundable entry fee for each team.
Cheques and money orders are payable to Nimbin CTC 39 hours (Nimbin Community Technology Centre)
Only registered teams, will be eligible for prizes.There are both youth and adult divisions.
Youth must be under 18 this means they have not turned 18 on the 16th March 2008.
This is a competition, not all films entered will win prizes and not all films entered will necessarily be screened. The management will where time permits screen as many entries as possible.
All teams (or a reprasentitive from each team) are required to register in person between 4pm and 6pm on the 16th March at the Nimbin School of Arts Hall. All members of each team will be required to complete and sign a 'disclaimer' provided apon registration.
Each film must contain a selection of three components as outlined in the brief provided at the registration on Friday evening at 7.30 pm. These components are to appear as proof that the film was shot in the time period allotted. They do not have to be prominent but they have to be included.
A package will be provided, which will include a brief a list of compulsory elements, a map and deadlines.
It is recommended that the producers make sure that all members of their team are registered
Entrants must supply their own camera equipment. Some editing suites and cameras will be for hire. It is recommended that if editing suits or cameras are required, they be booked in advance. Ph: (02)66891183
Voice-over and music is allowed. However, the film-makers must have the copyright of all Audio content used.
The producers of the entered film must hold copyright for music, images and performances. These copyrights are the Producer's responsibility. Nimbin's "39 hours" take no responsibility for any breaches of copyright.
Films must be made and presented to the organizers, at Nimbin School of Arts (in the Main st of Nimbin) by no later than 10am Sunday morning 16th March
Films will not be accepted after that cut off time.
Each Film will be made specifically for Nimbin's "39hours", Movie Festival and Competition.
Festival Coordinators will take all care but will accept no responsibility for
loss or damage to any entry.
Each film must be no longer than eight minutes, including titles and credits.
Each film must be presented on DV tape OR DVD Disc formatted to be played by a DVD Player.
The films will be judged on storyline, originality and technique.
It should be noted that the producers of the film are the owners of that film. Any sales negotiations with third parties will be the responsibility of the film's producers.
